Welcome to the Patient Portal
The patient portal provides a secure way for our office to communicate with you and provides ways for you to manage your care.
To help us serve you better, our patient portal provides an easy way for you to communicate with our office in a secure way (email is not secure). Using the portal will allow you to bypass leaving voicemails, telephone trees and hold time, and will allow you to communicate with us at your convenience, 24/7, from any internet device. This includes cell phones with internet access. This guarantees you will reach us.
If you don't have an email address, it is easy to get a free email address. There are many free email providers out there, including gmail, and yahoo. Having an email address will allow you to receive notices we send to you. This will need to be an email address that you check regularly, Private health information will not be sent to your email; instead the email will alert you that you have a new message posted on the patient portal.
We will send you an e-mail only when necessary, to request that you access the secure Patient Portal to review private healthcare information that we have posted on your Patient Portal.
Managing your Appointments
For any appointments beyond today, your next appointment can easily be made online at your convenience. You can use this feature anytime day or night and easily choose what meets your schedule. In addition, you can see when your next appointment is and can easily change it if you need to due to a change in your needs. Your request for an appointment will be sent to us for approval and we will notify you of the approval.
This feature also allows you to cancel and rescheduled your appointment anytime day or night due a change in your schedule. You don't have to wait for our office to open to make a phone call or play phone tag.
Help us Save Trees!
Prior to each appointment, we always ask you to update your information and sometimes complete additional forms. We have done this in the past by printing them, to be completed in our waiting room. Your patient information can easily be updated in your portal account and the additional forms are available in the FORMS tab in your portal account. You can review these at your leisure instead prior to your appointment in the waiting room. By signing them in your portal, you no longer have to complete them in our waiting room.
Your portal account is used to advise you of lab results, provide your account statement, prior authorization requests, receipt and disposition of rx refill requests and other actions being taken by Marina Medical on your behalf. If you have a pending matter, we ask that you check your portal account first.
Managing your Care
We encourage you to use the secure message feature provided in your patient portal for managing your care or submit a question to the doctor, nurses, billing department or the receptionist. Response time is 24-48 business hours.
We encourage you to be proactive by putting together a list of items you want to speak with the Doctor about. If you do this ahead of your appointment by sending a secure msg, you then wont have to remember to bring your list with you to your appointment and can formulate your concerns at your leisure.
Once a portal has been established for your account, we assume you will use it. If you would rather not use the portal, you must login into the portal account and opt out.
